  The atmosphere was very nice, and the food was good. I can't say it blew me away, but it certainly wasn't awful. I had the Cajun salmon and it was good, but not exceptional. The prices were good and I didn't feel like I didn't get what I paid for. Half-priced wine bottles on Wednesday nights! Perhaps this place is better suited toward the red meats? There was a small wait and the place was quite crowded. Bring a friend with a birthday and get a flaming (not exaggerating here) candle cake for dessert! Same owner as Coastal Grille I believe. If you've been there, you'll find some similar menu options.

  Austin's was once a favorite restaurant of mine and my family's. My parents would actually drive from North East, MD just to come up to have lunch or dinner here with me, then drive the hour and half it took to get home. But the last 3 or 4 times I've been here, something has changed. And it's not for the better. The service has slacked, the food didn't taste as fresh and the atmosphere that I used to love so much, simply didn't feel the same. For instance, I always ordered the filet mignon for dinner. It was ALWAYS thick, seasoned perfectly, juicy and tender. The last two filets I got were thin (flat), overcooked and bland. The server took what seemed like a long time to come back and check on us, at which time my steak was cold and my husband was already 90% finished with his meal. I declined a new steak basically because I didn't want to wait for it to be prepared as well as have my husband sit and wait while he was already finished with his meal. We also had movie tickets and didn't want to be late for that either. I was offered a free dessert, which I declined. When the manager came to speak to me about the issue, I flat out asked him what had changed... Was the restaurant under new ownership or management? He stated it was not..... ~~ So, I just wanted to update any previous review of Austin's where I gave it 5 stars, because I no longer believe it deserves such a rating.

  My go to place. Food is great, service is ALWAYS great. My favorite appetizer is the cheesesteak eggroll. I could probably eat myself to death on them. Everything I eat there has been good. The soups that are always there, onion and the potato, are some of the real highlights. My wife always orders one of their various salads and seems to always end up taking some home.
